Site 13 plan adjusted after parcel loss; consultant estimates about $9.85M in line work
Summary
The consultant said the loss of one parcel in Site 13 required a revised layout shifting some treatment infrastructure onto the Rockwood property; he estimated about $9,850,000 in line work to reroute existing force mains and clearing under the creek, and flagged geotechnical uncertainty at Rockwood.

Steve told the committee that Site 13 experienced a layout change after one parcel was removed from the earlier design, prompting a revised plan that places some final clarifiers onto the Rockwood parcel. "We simply just move the final clarifiers, to the east over onto the Rockwood property," he said, adding the floodplain impact would be minimal and manageable with grading.
He said three-phase power, water and gas are nearby and that the estimated line-work cost to clear under the creek and reroute the force mains for Site 13 is about $9,850,000 according to the packet. Steve cautioned the Rockwood site's fill material is not well documented and that geotechnical investigation may be required to determine whether existing fill must be removed and replaced. Committee members noted that proximity to the existing plant for this site limits the amount of new area opened for service without additional pump stations.
