At its June 16 meeting, the Jemez Springs Finance Board discussed collection efforts for roughly $28,000 in delinquent sewer accounts and ongoing progress on outstanding audits for prior fiscal years.
Interim Clerk Heather Gutierrez told the board she and the wastewater operations manager are meeting weekly and have implemented a door hanger system to notify residents of delinquent balances and the potential consequence of water service shutoff. Finance Director Consultant Jim Cox reported continuing work on audits for fiscal years 2023–2025.
