Board backs $5-per-student contribution for extracurricular transportation

Jaworski emphasized the district’s intent that "no student will be excluded because of the inability to pay that $5 fee." He said the plan will be reviewed at the end of the school year and could be eliminated if a future referendum covers extracurricular transportation.
Board members asked for clarity on implementation, and administration said options such as fundraisers and booster support would be promoted; the board did not set an immediate enforcement mechanism at the meeting and directed staff to continue planning language for the program.
