Council Vice President Mark Stecak told members the Street Department is continuing to televise the borough’s sewer lines and has found two fully collapsed lines; the borough is waiting for the engineer’s recommendations on how to proceed. The discovery was raised during the Public Works report and council did not vote on repairs at the Nov. 19 meeting.
At the same meeting, council voted to advertise the sale of a 2000 bucket truck and a scissor lift, actions the borough indicated separately from repair planning. The equipment-sale motions passed on recorded votes of Yes 6, No 0, Absent 1; the sewer-repair approach and timeline will depend on the engineer’s forthcoming recommendations.
