Warwick trustees authorize Water Infrastructure Improvement Act grant application for reservoir work

The Village Board of Trustees of Warwick voted to authorize the mayor to submit a Water Infrastructure Improvement Act grant application to the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation to fund reservoir rehabilitation and related water system improvements. Barry read the resolution text to the board before the vote.

The resolution listed specific eligible improvements and set an estimated project total at approximately $3,600,000. "And whereas the village has identified water system improvements including, but not limited to, the rehabilitation and or replacement of the reservoir water storage tank and other associated water system infrastructure improvements with an estimated total project cost of approximately $3,600,000," Barry read. The board then moved and seconded the resolution and approved it by roll call.

Mayor Mary Newhart and two trustees recorded affirmative votes; two trustees were absent. The resolution directs the mayor and designated village officials to execute and submit all related documents, certifications, agreements, and amendments necessary to apply for and secure the grant funding and to take actions necessary to administer the application process. The resolution states it takes effect immediately, and the board did not record additional conditions or amendments at the meeting.
