The council accepted the Town Hall price and countered the Preserve proposal to $650 per month.
Council Member Alexandra Powell-Sardinas moved the counteroffer, which Council Member Kathleen Hoock seconded; the motion passed 4-0 with Council Member John Tyson absent. Town staff indicated there are sufficient funds budgeted for the Town Hall maintenance but not for The Preserve (the budgeted amount for The Preserve was $8,000). The council set the contract terms through Dec. 31 with a planned review in January for the remainder of the fiscal year.
