The parks department reported summer camp is in week 4, thanked the police for increased presence around camp for safety, and announced the concert series in Lonergan Park on the 29th and other beautification work in Memorial Park and Kennedy Park.
Superintendent Gil Stevens reported DPW progress: bulk brush pickup resumed after a truck repair, 12 storm drains have been rebuilt/inspected as part of MS4 obligations, and crews removed a hazardous tree on Hermann Drive on Aug. 12 that took down wires and a telephone pole. Stevens said the next bulk trash pickup is scheduled for Aug. 3 and reminded residents to call on the Friday before the pickup to be added to the list.
