"Five percent this year is the goal," the superintendent said, explaining the focus on continuous improvement and use of benchmark and state data to drive professional development.
Board member Miss Skinner moved to adopt the goals with revised wording for the exit-interview subgoal; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote. Board members noted they wanted the exit-interview data to capture where certified staff go after leaving and to consider periodic check-ins of new teachers to support retention.
