At the June 3 meeting, Fire Chief Richard Fisher presented the contract for Kirby and the board approved it on a 5-0 vote. Fisher also submitted his letter of resignation, saying he will step down on June 30, 2025 but will remain available to assist with the transition.
Fisher recommended Jordan Boulanger to succeed him. The board appointed Jordan Boulanger as Concord Fire Chief effective July 1, 2025; the appointment was passed by motion. The minutes record thanks to Chief Fisher for his years of service and note he will remain on the department to help with the transition.
The action included two formal motions: approval of the Kirby service contract and the appointment of Jordan Boulanger as chief. Both motions passed unanimously, 5-0. The record does not show any dissenting discussion. The appointment and contract approval were handled in open session and are expected to go into effect on the dates stated.
