The Coffee County Ambulance Authority voted to approve a mutual-aid memorandum of understanding with Manchester Fire & Rescue after members said the draft closely mirrors an existing Tullahoma agreement.
"It is literally identical," Director Bonner said of the draft MOU, explaining the document uses the same verbiage as Tullahoma's agreement and that Manchester requested a slightly reduced initial response list. A motion to approve the MOU was made and seconded; the board approved it by voice vote.
Members noted the reduced initial-response list reflects Manchester's current staffing and training levels and said the shorter list could be expanded later as training or staffing changes. The authority did not attach additional conditions at the time of approval and did not record a roll-call vote; the motion passed by consensus.
Next steps: the clerk will finalize the signed MOU for Manchester Fire & Rescue and Coffee County EMS and place the executed document in the record.
