Library director: remediation nearly finished; staff preparing for reopening

The Manchester Committee of the Coffee County Library Board received an update that remediation work inside the Manchester branch is nearly complete and a reinspection is pending. Director Polly told the committee, “I spoke to Rick and he said they're still doing they're finishing up remediation.” She added that inspectors must issue an "all clear" before staff can fully reopen the facility to the public.
Polly said staff expect to spend a day or two returning books from the drop box and prepping the interior before reopening. She told members that “Randy's the tech guy” will be allowed in on Thursday to update computers — a visit the mayor has approved — and that the library will announce reopening on Facebook and the website once operations resume.
