An attorney speaking for ACS described the amendments as standard protections that make the HCA more transferee-friendly.
Valerio Romano, who identified himself as representing Sunny Harbor and as a principal in the group that would assume ACS operations, said the change would not alter the business’s community commitments and could increase local retail-option tax revenue. "...this should bring in significantly more money for the town," Romano said. The board approved both motions by voice vote; members noted the assignment would not be effective until state approval of the change in ownership and control.
