Key financial decisions included consensus to fund necessary repairs to the municipal tower clock from the Building Reserve Fund with an estimated repair cost between $10,000 and $30,000, and approvals to spend from the Connecticut River Fund on cemetery work: a $29,050 contract with Hill House Estates, LLC to repair and straighten 490 headstones and a Guest Memorials contract in the $19,250–$22,000 range to clean headstones. The board also accepted a cemetery-management pricing proposal of $6,500 one-time plus $130 per month to be paid from the Cemetery Fund.
On personnel matters, the board increased administrative assistant Susan LaMadeleine’s weekly hours by two so she can perform custodial duties, and, after an executive-session discussion, set Vanessa Kittredge’s pay for the Planning Board/Zoning Board secretary role at $16.50 per hour. Town Treasurer Audra Girouard was authorized to contact an attorney regarding a tax sale. The meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
