Volunteer push for headstone restoration and 'Make It Shine' date set for April 6

Committee members said they have met with the West Virginia Preservation Alliance and state historic preservation staff to pursue volunteer‑led headstone restoration and small equipment grants. The committee plans a March 5 public meeting at the Ice House to recruit volunteers, will place ads in the Morgan Messenger (Feb. 18 and 25), and is coordinating with local partners—including schools, veteran groups, and genealogical societies—to develop a broader volunteer and education campaign.
