Commissioners approve health-trust contribution, contracts, vouchers and treasurer report

During the March 11 meeting the Prairie County Board of Commissioners approved a set of routine fiscal and contractual items. Commissioner Dennis Teske moved to accept the MACo Health Care Trust changes with a county contribution of $1,087 and Commissioner Christine Keltner seconded; the motion passed by voice vote. Commissioners also agreed to extend the on-call contract with Great West Engineering from May 2025 to May 2026 following a motion by Commissioner Keltner and a second from Commissioner Teske.
Deputy Clerk & Recorder Aria Walters presented claims including Prairie County Voucher #1104 for $19,282.14 and Voucher #1105 for $7,554.48 and Journal Adjustments #327 and #302 for commissioner signatures. Commissioners approved an Independent Contractor Agreement for home-delivered meals for Dawn Olson at $22 per day and accepted Treasurer Garrett Lapp’s Investment Authorization Report after a motion to accept the treasurer's report.
