Committee members discussed timing and access for the cleaning and retesting; maintenance said the cleaning work could be done quickly and hoped testing would occur "hopefully by tomorrow" with further checks next week. On the question of a roof replacement, maintenance provided a budgetary figure of $613,000 and said the committee could bid the project out; staff noted savings from the Justice Center roof procurement left potential funds that could be applied to library work if approved.
Members agreed to defer a final decision on the Manchester Library roof until next month to gather more information and prepare formal bids. Maintenance said the Justice Center roofing project will free up some budget room because it came in under its original estimate.
