Council adopts landscape-district assessments for fiscal year 2027

City engineering staff presented the proposed landscape maintenance assessments for fiscal year 2027 and opened a public hearing. Engineer Miller explained that the increases for 19 districts do not exceed rates approved by property owners at formation, accounting for allowable CPI adjustments, and therefore do not trigger Proposition 218 ballot requirements. Council adopted the resolution confirming the diagrams and levying the assessments and authorized the city manager to execute required compliance certifications (vote recorded 5–0).
