The Waukesha City Landmarks Commission approved the meeting minutes during its April 2, 2025 session after a motion to adopt the minutes was moved and seconded. Chair (speaking for the commission) announced, “Meeting minutes have been approved.”
Charlie, staff to the commission, told members the commission typically awards paint-and-repair grants on a sliding scale up to roughly 15% of a project cost and a $3,000 maximum. He said the city expects about $25,000 in paint-and-repair funding for the year but that distribution is on hold until the city confirms the allocation. Charlie said there is currently $2,850 left over from last year and two grantees who have not yet submitted invoices.
Commissioners discussed practical effects: Charlie said that if funding is not confirmed by next month he will provide an update and that, if funds arrive, applications will be reviewed first-come, first-served. The commission agreed to allow applicants who have already completed review to be queued for grant consideration once the money is available.
