District reports strong state assessment results, expands math and ELA materials

Doctor Shauna Hardy presented the student learning and progress pillar, telling the board that 14 of 18 schools performed “high or very high” on the 2025 state assessment season and that the district continues to outpace state averages across grades and subjects.
Hardy said the district is completing its third year of a vertically aligned ELA program (K–12) and a numeracy program through Algebra I; the district will begin Algebra II and Geometry in 2026–27. She credited a district MTSS rubric and more than 390 hours of professional learning for gains, and noted common assessment and MAP data showed growth from fall to spring and year-to-year despite rising norms from the test vendor.
Hardy highlighted that 178 staff completed advanced Lehi training this year and stressed ongoing monitoring and calibration to maintain equitable grading and instruction across schools.
