The Forsyth County Historic Resources Commission on June 3 approved COA2026-049 to construct a new 4,022-square-foot, two-story single-family home with basement at 207 Glade View Court in the West End Historic Overlay District. Isabel Coletti presented the staff report, which described setbacks, orientation toward Glade Street, and compatibility in massing and roof form.
Planned exterior materials include Bradford Hall tumbled brick for primary cladding, Hardie Board beaded lap siding at dormers, CertainTeed Landmark Pro 'Moire Black' shingles, aluminum-clad simulated divided-light windows, mahogany entrance doors, Trex composite decking on a side porch, bluestone pavers on front and rear porches, and black PVC rails designed to replicate wrought-iron appearance. Two Bedford Hall brick retaining walls approximately 8–9 feet high are proposed along the left elevation to accommodate grade changes and provide exterior basement access. Staff recommended approval, and the Commission voted to approve the COA with standard permitting and documentation conditions. There was no public opposition.
