Advisory committee recommends three jurisdictional transfers to legislature, urges funding stream

The Jurisdictional Transfer Advisory Committee reviewed three formal transfer applications and recommended all three be submitted to the legislature for consideration when funding is available. Committee members praised the local and ODOT planning work behind the applications and urged that a designated funding source be identified to incentivize planning and to help local jurisdictions complete state‑of‑good‑repair work prior to transfer.
Tova Peltz (S11) noted the Hood River transfer had been completed recently but the city seeks substantially more funding to bring the corridor to desired condition; committee member Ted Liebold (S13) said unanimous committee support and encouraged legislative advocacy for a transfer funding program.
