Deputies recorded about 700 calls for service overall. Transports totaled approximately 4,057 miles; the office noted heavy federal transport work (1,678) and in-state prison transports (1,509). The office reported 23 animal complaints (including one bite), three DUI arrests, seven motor-vehicle crashes with one injury, and 195 traffic stops.
The presenter said reduced transports save county wear-and-tear costs on vehicles and that the month's totals were near the office's recent averages. Commissioners thanked officers for public presence at the fair and for traffic control during the Fourth of July parade.
