Looking ahead, staff announced a paddle-board cleanup scheduled for Aug. 1 on Lake Maitland, launching from Craft Azalea and paddling to Dog Island, with volunteer paddle boards provided by a local outfitter. Staff also described new "discovery hours" at the learning garden (an hour on Tuesday and Thursday) intended to let the public visit, harvest, and learn from staff on gardening and upcoming events.
Board members expressed appreciation for turnout and the partnerships that supported the events. No formal board action was required for these updates.
