He told members the program "serves all 200 plus of our schools" and that "this past fiscal year, over $11,000 have been provided in awards, to schools that serve Winter Park students." Clowater also reported "almost 100 hours of staff time" and "more than 6,000 student contact instances in sustainability."
Following Clowater's presentation, the chair moved to fund the OCPS request: "I'd like to make a motion that we donate 1000 dollars to the Orange County public school green schools program." The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Members asked for an invoice to process payment and staff agreed to provide it. The decision authorizes a disbursement from the board's small grants budget; no additional conditions or follow-up reporting requirements were recorded in the transcript.
