Officer John Parks reported that, during a site visit on May 2, 2025, he observed a fence installed at 406 South Pine Street with no permit on file. Parks told the board he checked the permit system on July 7 and again on Aug. 8; the permit application remained in a "resubmittal required" status and no permit had been issued. "Meaning, there's been no action taken by the property owner or the contractor to submit anything to the building department," Parks said.
Staff recommended the board give the owner until Sept. 12, 2025, to bring the property into full compliance and impose a fine of $50 per day if the owner fails to do so, with a maximum fine of $10,000. The board approved the recommendation by voice vote and ordered respondents to contact the code inspector to verify compliance.
