Officer John Parks presented the case for 102 East Circle Drive and told the board the property remained listed for short-term rental after the board's July 17 order. "It was posted on the property on 07/18/2025," Parks said, and staff recommended "the board impose a fine of $150 per day commencing on 07/28/2025, and continue until the property is brought into full compliance, fine not to exceed the maximum amount of $15,000."
No respondent was present. Board members asked whether the property owner had communicated intentions to stop renting; Parks said there had been emails indicating both an intent to comply and assertions of property rights, and recommended the board impose the fine recommendation. A motion to accept staff's recommendation carried by voice vote. The board ordered respondents to contact the code inspector to verify compliance and noted that repeat violations within five years may be treated as repeat offenses with higher fines.
