Board approves consent agenda and sets August meeting schedule

The Gilbert Unified District governing board approved the consent agenda by voice vote and confirmed two August meeting dates: a policy/work study session on Aug. 11 and the regular business meeting on Aug. 25.
President Chad Thompson called for approval of the consent agenda; the motion was moved, seconded, and approved by voice vote with no opposition. No items were pulled for separate discussion. "All those in favor of approving tonight's consent agenda as written, say aye," Thompson said before the board responded in the affirmative.
The board also reviewed future meeting dates. Superintendent Dr. Jared Ryan noted the next meetings in August: Aug. 11 for board policy and work-study (5 p.m., work study at 6 p.m.) and Aug. 25 for the regularly scheduled governing board business meeting at 6 p.m. The meeting adjourned after a motion to adjourn was made and approved by voice vote.
