Council approves consent agenda including permits, projects and donations

The City of Hugo approved eight consent-agenda items at its July 20 meeting, with no items pulled for separate discussion.
City staff summarized the approved items for the record: the claims roster; a special-event permit for the Wilson Toole Company picnic on Aug. 8 and a related temporary liquor license for the Hugo Lions Club; acceptance of a $1,000 donation to the fire department from the Thomas Lowenberg family; adoption of the 165th Street Corridor Alternative Urban Area-Wide Review (AUAR); payment request No. 1 to Bituminous Roadways for the 2026 Bald Eagle Industrial Park Street project; a reduction in the letter of credit for Watercrest of Hugo 2nd Edition; and approval of the lawful gambling exempt permit for the "Shoot for the Troops" event at Wild Wings on Sept. 10.
Mayor Mary Whitehead called for the motion; a council member moved and another seconded. "With approval of the consent agenda, council has approved all 8 items as presented," staff told the council after the vote. The ayes carried, and the council moved on to new business.
