Mr. Brown reported that Berry Building Group completed the Beddingfield High School culinary arts classroom under the design‑build contract and that Contract Amendment No. 2 reflects realized savings of $42,574.86. "...we saved $42,574.86," Brown said as he presented the recommended amendment for adoption on behalf of the Administrative Services Committee.
The motion to adopt the amendment was made on the record (moved by Mr. Breen and seconded by Miss Powell and Mr. Batts as read) and carried unanimously by voice vote. Board members briefly discussed whether savings could be earmarked for other needs, and the committee representative said the goal is to capture savings for district priorities when possible.
