Residents report early-morning dump-truck noise and possible weight-limit violations; town to send letter

David Billings and John Evans told the council that a neighbor starts a dump truck at about 2 a.m. and leaves it running, which they said violates the town’s noise ordinance; they also raised concerns the truck may exceed posted weight limits and that the exhaust has been modified. Billings reported the issue from Harrison Court and Evans made a similar complaint from Harrison Circle.
Town Attorney Lyndsey Ryan said the Town will send a letter to the alleged violator and "look into the decibel level set by State law." The Town committed to respond back to both residents with its findings. For immediate concerns about blocked driveways or safety, the sheriff’s office advised contacting law enforcement.
