Residents raise safety and nuisance concerns about work on Lovers Lane property

Residents from Farms Lane and adjacent streets told the council they are concerned about work taking place on Mr. Morrison’s property on Lovers Lane. Tish Blessing said neighbors are worried about trees being cut down, construction equipment blocking the road during school hours, people on the property after dark, vehicles parking in front of homes and blocking a driveway and a fire hydrant, and ruts caused when vehicles turn around.
Town Attorney Lyndsey Ryan told residents that Mr. Morrison had previously brought a subdivision idea to Planning Commission about two years ago but that "nothing ever came of it" and the Town has received no current documentation. 1st Sgt. Aita asked residents to call police when the road or driveway is blocked or if they feel unsafe; President Newnam said the Town would look into the work being done, any possible violations and if permits are needed.
