Council gives dump-truck owner until March 9 in noise dispute

"The noise ordinance is in effect from 10 pm to 7 am and Mr. McDermott is starting his truck around 2 am every morning," Newnam said.
After discussion, the council reached a temporary compromise: Mr. McDermott was given until Monday, March 9 to find alternative parking for his dump truck; the Town agreed not to enforce the noise ordinance against that truck until after March 9. Newnam also stated he would not entertain future complaints about Mr. McDermott's personal truck, and neighbors Mr. Billings and Mr. Evans clarified the complaint was limited to the dump truck rather than a personal vehicle.
The council did not set enforcement steps after March 9 or identify alternative permitted parking at this meeting.
