Committee member Fragozo asked for a motion to elect Hobby as chair; another member moved and the clerk conducted a roll‑call vote. The clerk recorded yes votes from Committee member Fosso, Committee member Kelson, Committee member Morales and Chair Hobby and announced, “Motion passed.”
Chair Hobby then nominated Ignacio Fragozo for vice chair. The nomination was seconded, the clerk called the roll and the clerk announced the motion passed after yes votes from the members recorded by name.
Both elections were procedural appointments to serve until the next committee elections in July 2027; staff earlier noted committee bylaws require a minimum of four votes for election and include term limits for chair and vice chair.
