Community Development Director Eldon Gibb presented concurrent applications to change the general plan designation of 362 West 3650 South from low density to neighborhood commercial and rezone the parcel from R-1-12 to Administrative Professional (AP). Gibb said the parcel was physically isolated from surrounding residential lots after the George Washington Boulevard realignment and that AP zoning would provide office-type uses appropriate for the location.
Council members expressed support for the proposed use and the council approved both the general plan amendment (G-26-02) and the zone change (Z-26-13) by roll call votes of 5'0. Staff will record the ordinance changes and proceed with mapping and permitting tasks associated with the rezoning.
