New alderpersons sworn in at Waukesha City Common Council

Mike Christine (District 1), Joseph Piper (District 4), Elizabeth Moulton (District 8), Paul Wautoska (District 9), Alicia Halvinsleben (District 11), Dale Matthews (District 12), Rick Lemke (District 14) and Enrique Camacho (District 15) each came forward and repeated the oath to ‘‘support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Wisconsin’’ as part of the formal swearing-in. Council members and attendees congratulated each new member and were invited to take photographs at the dais.
The swearing-in finished before the meeting moved to roll call and the pledge of allegiance. The mayor's opening remarks noted the ceremony's purpose of recognizing newly seated council members and preparing the council to conduct business for the evening.
