District Engineer Charlie Krebs briefed the Board on stormwater performance following Tropical Storm Debbie. Krebs said parts of the community received almost 8 inches of rain in two to three days, while roads are designed for approximately 5½ inches in a 24‑hour period; despite this, he reported the stormwater system generally flowed unobstructed although it reached capacity in places.
A resident raised a concern that standing water was entering a slab and causing mold in a unit. Krebs said he did not believe the standing water was the cause because other units did not report similar issues; he asked Mr. Long to address the concern and requested it be placed on the next agenda. Krebs suggested The Club could consider adding a drainage connection to Lake E1‑A to bypass pipes and inlets in localized areas.
The Board asked staff to follow up after the meeting to confirm whether roadways or curbs sustained any damage from recent repairs and to include the resident's concern in the next agenda cycle for additional review.
