CDD files Lee County NPDES Cycle 4 Year 7 annual report; staff to monitor sampling changes
Summary
Johnson Engineering presented the NPDES Cycle 4 Year 7 Annual Report (FLS000035‑004); Lee County reviewed and approved it and staff will submit to FDEP ahead of the Nov. 1 deadline. Board discussed that future sampling requirements may change.
Mr. Mark Zordan presented the Lee County NPDES Permit FLS000035‑004 Cycle 4 Year 7 Annual Report filed with Lee County and noted the county has reviewed and approved the report. The report will be submitted to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in advance of the Nov. 1, 2024 deadline.
Mr. Zordan warned that the new permit cycle and future sampling requirements could change and that staff and Johnson Engineering will continue attending bi‑monthly Lee County NPDES meetings and forwarding minutes to the District Manager to keep staff apprised of regulatory changes. Mr. Adams reminded the board that stormwater ponds are expected to retain runoff and are not held to the same standards as natural lakes.
No board action was required beyond acknowledgment and filing; staff will monitor regulatory developments and adapt reporting if needed.
