The River Ridge Community Development District Board accepted the resignation of Supervisor James Gilman (Seat 1) at the Aug. 27 meeting. Mrs. Adams presented Mr. Gilman’s resignation letter and, on a motion by Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal seconded by Supervisor Robert Twombly, the resignation was accepted unanimously.
Because the vacancy will be filled by appointment rather than election, the Board asked staff to publicize the vacancy and candidate qualifications; Mrs. Adams said she would include any submitted resumes on the next meeting agenda. The Board requested that Mr. Long and The Meadows’ POA Manager e‑blast residents about the vacancy, the candidate requirements, and submission instructions for resumes or letters of interest ahead of the next meeting.
