Kiowa council approves prior minutes, financial and purchase reports
Summary
Town of Kiowa council unanimously approved the Nov. 20, 2025 minutes, the monthly financial report and the purchase report during its Dec. 18 meeting. Council also noted a revision to Dec. 1 special meeting minutes on a library utility matter to be re-presented Jan. 22, 2026.
M. Sexton, council member, called the regular Town of Kiowa meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and roll call showed a full council present.
On a motion made by D. Drake and seconded by J. Ray, the council voted 5-0 to approve the previous regular meeting minutes dated Nov. 20, 2025. The minutes include a footnote that a revision to the Dec. 1, 2025 special meeting minutes (concerning the Mary Kimberly Library's request for utility assistance) was added and that the revised special-meeting minutes will be re-presented for approval at the Jan. 22, 2026 regular meeting.
The council then approved the monthly financial report and the purchase report by unanimous votes. These approvals were recorded as carried with votes of M. Sexton—yes, J. Ray—yes, T.S. Barker—yes, T. Horn—yes and D. Drake—yes.
The meeting continued with departmental reports and a series of individual agenda items discussed later in the session. The council adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
