City Administrator W. Scott Jorgensen told the council the 1983 comprehensive plan contains language about potential future growth near the school property that residents opposed then and continue to oppose. The Planning Commission recommended amending or removing that language based on the residents' input.
Jorgensen said staff has been looking into a potential land swap of about 50 acres toward Lindberg and has been reaching out to residents in the affected area. The Planning Commission's recommendation was presented for council consideration and further staff follow-up.
