The Pleasant Hill Diversity Commission confirmed plans to promote a Pride/Coming Out event scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 8, noting the city will host the event on site in partnership with Off the Grid. Committee member (S6) reported that "the pride application is live on the diversity commission's web page" and that several groups have already inquired about booths.
Members debated whether to publish a full Outlook article or a shorter flyer and agreed to produce a 250-word blurb with a graphic if feasible. Clerk (S2) warned about early newsletter deadlines and recommended collaborating with the commission's PIO and Liz to meet content cutoff dates; commissioners also agreed to send invitations to council members and the mayor for presence or proclamations at the event.
