Cheryl Booth, of 216 North Dust Street in New Smyrna, used the public-participation period to ask the Community Redevelopment Agency for an update on a program she called "PEGASUS," saying it had gone through FEMA, the city and the state. Booth asked, "Just want to know what the progress is on this program called PEGASUS."
Chair Cleveland responded that staff would not answer questions during the meeting but that "the clerk will be the the we'll have the clerk or the manager be in touch with you, ma'am." Public participation was then closed after no additional speakers came forward. The board's stated procedure is to allow three minutes for public comments and to record a speaker's name and address for the record.
