Commissioners approve alcohol licenses for HWY 53 Food Mart and Volcano Steak & Sushi

At the Nov. 20 voting session, Dawson County Alcohol Licensing Administrator Kathryn Massey presented two license applications and the board approved both by 4-0 votes. The board granted a retail package sale license for malt beverages and wine to Dipi Business LLC, doing business as HWY 53 Food Mart, located at 4141 Highway 53 East, Dawsonville, GA, pending final building completion and issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy.
The board also approved a new on-premises consumption license for Volcano Dawsonville LLC, doing business as Volcano Steak & Sushi at 290 Marketplace Boulevard. Both motions passed unanimously (Stowers/Bruce and Bruce/Turkett recorded in the minutes). The approvals were conditional on standard inspections and certificate issuance where noted.
