Staff outlined four items: authorization of March 2, 2026 minutes; authorization for staff to proceed with the collaborative International Forest of Friendship road reconstruction project that includes a $110,000 materials budget to be paid by the International Forest of Friendship; approval of an occupational license for Jerry’s pending issuance of the Kansas Alcohol Beverage Control Division liquor license; and authorization to purchase a police patrol vehicle from Davis Moore Dodge at a cost of $40,484, which will require $7,440.44 from the ERP in addition to an insurance settlement.
“Those materials will be paid for by the International Forest of Friendship,” Mister Westhoff said, explaining that the city will provide labor and that the outside organization will cover materials costs. Commissioners moved, seconded and voted to accept the consent agenda; the motion carried with all members saying ‘aye.’
