The Reinbeck City Council adopted two utility-rate ordinances during its July 6 meeting, approving changes to municipal water service (Ordinance #2026-06OR) and garbage and recycling service (Ordinance #2026-07OR).
Mayor Jamie Eiffler introduced both ordinances for a third reading. Council member Trepp moved adoption and Council member Pease seconded; the council approved both measures on a roll-call vote with Wambold, Pease, Johnson, Trepp and Bueghly voting aye. The ordinances will be published as required.
The ordinances repeal the current rate sections cited in the minutes (Section 92.02 for water service and Section 106.08 for garbage & recycling) and adopt the new rates; the minutes provide the ordinance numbers and record the formal adoption but do not list the specific new rates in-line. The council’s action completes the legal step necessary for the new rates to take effect according to the published ordinance schedule.
