Merchantville sets summer program, rental and police off-duty fees in new ordinance

Council adopted Ordinance 26-05 on May 11 to amend Chapter 25 (Fees) and add a schedule of fees for public records and community services. The ordinance sets the Parks and Playgrounds Summer Program resident annual rate at $300 and non-resident at $350, a weekly rate of $100, and a Community Center Ballroom Friday-only rental fee of $700. The ordinance lists Police outside employment officer rate at $105 per hour and an administration rate of $25 per hour; the ordinance is effective June 1, 2026.
Adoption took place on a motion by Councilman Anthony Perno and second by Councilman Ray Woods as part of the meeting’s consent business. The fee schedule is added to Section 25-7 and replaces inconsistent prior fee provisions.
