District counsel to send letter on road ownership; board approves MRI driveway repair credit

Lenore Brakefield of Woodward Pires & Lombardo said the Village of Estero's position is that it does not need to maintain the road west of U.S. 41 to the Clubhouse, while District Counsel Tony Pires said he believes the County is responsible. Pires will send a letter to the Village of Estero and County counsel asserting that the Village owns the road; Shane Willis indicated he had emailed Johnson Engineering documents on Nov. 20, 2024 that confirm ownership records.
District Manager Cleo Adams distributed an MRI proposal for driveway repairs at 21320 Pelican Sound Drive; MRI credited the CDD $10,500 on a $22,500 project. On motion by Keith Merrill and seconded by Bob Schultz, with all in favor, the Board approved MRI Construction, Inc. Proposal #514 for the driveway repairs in the amount of $12,000.
