Charlie Krebs reviewed the Tier 1 and Tier 2 traffic-calming strategies in the draft Traffic Calming Assessment 2025 and asked Board members to flag areas requiring additional consideration. Staff reported that three permanent and one mobile speed radar sign will be delivered throughout the property the first week of February and that early enforcement and education efforts have reduced speeding violations.
Eric Long asked Krebs to update the report to include the traffic study conclusion on Page 9 and to notify residents about existing mandates and potential new signage, including consideration of 'Do not pass golf cart' signs at the front entrance and crosswalks. The Pelican Sound Board is also considering modifying traffic-violation terms in its bylaws.
