After seven proposals and a unanimous recommendation from the Economic Development Advisory Group, the commission authorized awarding the contract to Post Oak Preservation for a total fee of $34,180.
Prejean and staff outlined funding sources: $20,996 would be covered by the awarded historic preservation fund grant and $13,924 will come from local funds. Commissioners discussed funding options including land-bank proceeds, economic development budgets and potential private contributions. The motion to award Post Oak Preservation carried by voice vote.
