The appointment followed an executive-session discussion conducted under 1 V.S.A. §313(a)(3), which allows deliberation on the appointment or employment of a public officer. The board invited Town Manager Karen Astley, Planning Commission Chair Sue Coakley and Jasaitis into the executive session before returning to the open meeting to formalize the appointment.
